The Pan IIT Leadership Circle is a worldwide core group of passionate, active and experienced alumni committed to strategically steering the IIT alumni movement to reach new heights of excellence, thereby bringing increased value to its members and ensuring continuity of the organization.

The PLC enables alumni who no longer hold an executive position in the alumni movement to continue to provide ideas and value. It enables those who are interested in leadership but have limited time to participate partially. And it forms the breeding ground for future officeholders.

Membership is by invitation only upon recommendation by the respective AA president in the USA or India or by the relevant pan IIT Chapter president. Applicants must have demonstrated:

• Commitment to alumni causes by leading campus-based or pan IIT activities for at least two years. Recent graduates who were student leaders on their IIT campus (at campus or hostel level) may also apply upon recommendation of their AA president
• Alternatively, those who have demonstrated consistent leadership in their chose fields upon graduation. This include professors, researchers, corporate executives, senior government executives in any country, entrepreneurs, published authors and journalists

Fees for PLC membership are levied annually on a cost-recovery principle. There is no “free” membership. At present the U.S. fee is $500 per year and applies to any alumnus outside India. India fees are TBD as the program is being launched there.

If you are an IIT alumnus (former faculty or student who completed a degree) and you believe you are qualified, please approach your campus AA president and request them to recommend you.
